Leave Inter Milan, Gabigol Join Benfica
Inter Milan striker Gabriel Barbosa or who is familiarly called Gabigol (21), officially leave from Giuseppe Meazza, Thursday (08/31/2017).
Gabigol is officially on loan to Portuguese side Benfica until 30 June 2018.
“FC Internazionale Milano confirmed that Gabriel Barbosa has joined SL Benfica for a one-season loan period,” wrote a statement on Inter Milan’s official website.
“The Portuguese club also has the option to make a permanent purchase,” the statement continued.
Gabigol recruited Inter from Santos on August 30, 2016 with a tag of 29.5 million euros (about Rp 467.7 billion).
However, the striker who helped the Brazilian national team to win gold at the 2016 Olympics failed to shine.
Of the 10 appearances with I Nerazzurri, Gabigol just scored one goal.
However, Gabigol seems to be grateful for valuable experience during strengthening Inter.
“Thanks, Inter,” chirping Gabigol on his Twitter account while uploading his action video with the Giuseppe Meazza camp.
